TOPOGRAPHIC MAPPING

Topographic analysis gives a general understanding about an area, its land form and ground surface variability (terrain). These are basically represented in the form of slope, aspect, hillshade, contour, directional flow (curvature), area, volume, profile and steepest path.

Topographic analysis gives us the power to effectively relate our data to real world topographic surfaces and analyze how these varied surfaces will affect our data. It helps in more realistic representation of the area by bridging the gap between static two-dimensional features and realistic three-dimensional model, helpful in better planning and management.
