Scitech Park by establishment is jointly promoted by Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India and University of Pune and all  the labs, its instrumentation facility , libraries, its scientific and academic persona are available as key resources for collaborative research programs. Park acts as a bridge between industry and academia and at the disposal of the industry is this rich pool of talent and domain expertise for conducting collaborative research programs for the benefit of the industry.

Concurrently some of these industry research program in turn yield areas of study for doctoral research. By using expertise of University scientists and laboratory facilities research services have been made available in the areas of Environment, Chemical, Earth,Geology, Hydromorphology, Biological Sciences and Electronics.

The Research Collaboration are in the areas of Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Nano-technology, Pharmaceutical, Environment, Chemical Sciences, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Technology, Polymers, Functional Foods, etc.
